South East Health - Out of hours medical care, Primary care health services

As of Friday 30th September 2011 at 6.30pm, South East Health Ltd (SEHL) will take over the delivery of the GP Out of Hours service to the population of Great Yarmouth & Waveney. The new service is called Great Yarmouth & Waveney Out of Hours.

South East Health Ltd and NHS Great Yarmouth & Waveney have worked closely over the last month to ensure that the implementation of the service runs as smoothly as possible. South East Health Ltd recognises the importance of a local, knowledgeable workforce delivering quality standards of care to patients and have therefore engaged with, and retained, local staff from the previous provider Harmoni.

South East Health Ltd’s ethos as a company is to deliver quality services to the patients we serve, and to provide this in a way that supports real continuity between us and the local GPs providing ‘in hours’ services.

If you require a GP outside of normal opening hours, please contact Great Yarmouth & Waveney Out of Hours service. The service is available Mondays to Fridays from 6.30pm- 8am, and 24 hours a day on weekends and bank holidays.

SEHL is committed to ensuring patients receive the right care in relation to their condition and actively promotes and encourages self care if appropriate. The HERON website hosted by NHS Norfolk and NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney provides a comprehensive and searchable source of self-help support groups, statutory and voluntary agencies covering the whole of Norfolk and Waveney.
