With more than 30 years at Barclays Bank behind him, Mike Davis is an experienced managing director who brings a financial and organisational rigour to the post of Chairman. Appointed last November, he will run the board of SEH and provide advice on commercial development across SEH. In addition, he will represent SEH in its relations with strategic partners such as primary care trusts, as well as civil servants and MPs.

Mike’s last position at Barclays was as public policy director. He was also the bank’s managing director of small business banking and, prior to that, managing director of commercial services.
Of his new post at SEH he says, “It’s a very exciting opportunity. SEH already provides a wide range of health care and is well placed to take advantage of changes in the delivery of health services in the UK. There are clearly some very good people on board. The company has a terrifically strong medical pedigree and an excellent reputation for local service delivery.”

Mike says he is “quite amazed” by how quickly SEH has grown over the last couple of years through acquisition and merger.”  There are, he says, very significant opportunities for the business to expand. “With proper implementation we can manage this expansion in a way that both enhances our reputation and provides exciting opportunities for our people. I’m certainly looking forward to being a part of this future development.”
